Author Bio
Susan Groh has been writing stories since she could first hold a pencil. Her writing life has included work as an award-winning television news reporter, evening news producer and freelance writer. She has written for Brown University, New England Institute of Technology, Women & Infants’ Hospital and the National Football League. Her fulltime job is as Associate Director of NFL Green, the National Football League’s Environmental program, and devotes time to planting thousands of trees, building community gardens, restoring coral reefs and offsetting the environmental impact of America’s biggest sporting events. Her signature Super Bowl event, Super Kids-Super Sharing, has put tens of thousands of books into the hands of children in need. Susan is one of only two people working for the NFL who writes her own media materials. The other is her husband and business partner, Jack.
Susan has written numerous children’s stories for her own children. The current pandemic has given her an opportunity to travel (much) less and focus on her love of writing. Her oldest son John has inherited her creativity and love of the whimsical. Together they have created The Grouchasaurus, a team effort that they are ready to send out in the world.
John Groh has loved drawing since he first put pencil and marker to his bedroom wall. Sketching is just something he does. He’s worked as a freelance illustrator and his creative work has been featured at NFL events, on restaurant websites, and on the walls/casks of a Boston Cider House. His first published illustrations appeared in the financial book Unbounded Wealth – 12 Simple Steps to Break Free of “The Man” and Live Life on Your Own Terms.
